Ozgur Kutay is the Chief Representative for Turkey, Eastern Europe and Central Asia at UK Export Finance (UKEF). UKEF is the UK Government’s Export Credit Agency, helping buyers around the world to trade with UK suppliers by offering attractive financing options. Through this local presence in Istanbul, as a priority market, UKEF is better placed to deliver competitive and innovative financing solutions to Turkish companies and public bodies doing business with the UK.

Prior to this role, Kutay served in Citigroup for 22 years with a variety of responsibilities. His roles included running Citibank in Kuwait as the chief executive, managing credit and risk for a region including Turkey, Israel, Caucasus, Central Asia, and leading Citibank’s corporate, financial institutions, and public sector relationships for the same region. Kutay also served as a member of Board of Directors for Citibank A.S. and Citigroup Menkul, the leading banking and brokerage vehicles of Citi in Turkey. Earlier, he worked for Deloitte Touché in a World Bank-funded Financial Management Improvement Project for the Turkish Electricity Authority and later, for Intergraph, a Fortune 500 technology company. Kutay received his B.Sc. in Electronics Engineering from Middle East Technical University in 1989 in Ankara, Turkey and earned an MBA from the University of Florida, Warrington College of Business in 1991.
