The governments of Chile and the United Kingdom have the honour of jointly hosting a webinar: Access to Covid-19 Vaccines – Finance, Delivery and Distribution in Latin America and the Caribbean on Wednesday 11 November.
The event will be opened by Chile’s Vice Minister of Trade, Rodrigo Yáñez Benítez, alongside the UK Government’s Foreign, Commonwealth and Development Office Minister of State, Wendy Morton MP, and will address the challenges surrounding the delivery and distribution of COVID-19 vaccines globally, with a particular focus on the Latin America and Caribbean region.
The event will be delivered in partnership with the Pan-American Health Organisation; Gavi – the Vaccine Alliance; CEPI; the World Bank; the Inter-American Development Bank; the Caribbean Development Bank; and the Caribbean Health Agency. It aims to provide an open forum to discuss and help develop approaches to the downstream challenges surrounding the distribution and delivery of vaccines and provide an overview of the financial and technical assistance available from multilateral institutions.
