Trent Collins

Trent is the Head of Dams and Tailings Storage Facilities at Kazminerals, based in Almaty. He is a Chartered Engineer in Australia as well as a member of AusIMM and IEMA with 20 years of experience as a geotechnical engineer. His has worked in consulting, construction and mine operations with his main focus on mine waste, dams and earthworks construction. He has lived and worked on 6 continents and in places as diverse as the Arctic Circle to the Equator to the Atacama Desert. Trent has worked on dozens of TSFs as either, Engineer of Record, designer, construction supervisor or quality assurance engineer and he has a passion for improving the outcomes for TSFs through safety and sustainability.
