Binding Solutions Ltd developed and utilized advanced technology that enables customers to produce clean, high quality pellets or briquettes from low and zero value materials through a low-energy, low emission cold bonding process. They are also developing a green alternative to the iron ore induration pellet process. The Company is working with over 20 customers, including some of the largest companies in the industry
Due to the cold bonding process, the technology can reduce energy consumption by up to 95% and CO2 emissions by 98% vs the induration pellet process. At the same time, the CAPEX of projects is reduced by 75-90%.
The technology can be licensed for briquetting iron ore, manganese, chromium at the mine, and scale, bag filter dust, oxide fines, sludge and metallic slag fines at the smelter.
Making briquettes from primary raw materials:
Production of high quality briquettes and pellets from raw materials such as iron ore and chromium concentrate in a mining or metallurgical complex significantly reducing capex, opex and the carbon footprint vs the induration process.
Industrial mills:
Making briquettes from fine waste from industrial plants, converting waste into valuable raw materials. This includes new arisings and historical waste dumps and includes blast furnace waste and slag, EAF and DRI waste and ferro alloy waste.
Waste from mine workings:
Converting waste dumps or ponds and other fine waste materials (iron ore, manganese, chromium, nickel, carbon and bauxite) into valuable feedstock.
